ABATEMENT AND REMEDIATION

BENDCO is capable of performing small and large-scale abatement projects. With a proficient administrative staff and experienced field personnel who are fully certified, we are able to adjust our field operations to suit the needs of the customer.

Since Federal, State, and Local regulations are continually changing, our constant commitment to provide knowledgeable and trained staff to our prospective clients is foremost. Continued training through annual refresher courses and frequent staff meetings keep everyone informed on innovative and state-of-the-art abatement techniques, allowing us to attain projected goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Our staff members are certified for arsenic as well as OSHA and EPA standardized lead, asbestos, PCB, mold, and mercury remediation.

Since building demolition is a large part of our industry, we regularly work in conjunction with General Contractors. Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as the uniqueness of the environmental conditions of Hawaii , require the removal of hazardous materials prior to demolition.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Our project management staff are specialized in managing asbestos, lead, arsenic, PCB, mercury, and mold abatement projects in school, residential, industrial, and commercial settings. We carry projects from the initial contact with clients, investigation to include Hazardous Materials Survey, and through basic project design, setting abatement goals to include time completion and innovative, concise, and cost-effective solutions while still implementing all necessary Federal, State, and Local regulations that apply. Our experience enables us to assess unusual environmental conditions encountered on abatement projects while still meeting our costs and goals.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING/HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SURVEYS AND SAMPLING/PHASE 1

BENDCO performs Hazardous Materials Surveys and field investigations, developing ports that provide clear, concise information to our clients, helping them make educated decisions when handling hazardous materials and wastes found on their properties. Investigations and inspections are routinely performed as part of a property transaction or demolition or renovation contract, aiding in compliance to Federal, State, and Local regulations and how they apply to the problem at hand. Some specific identifiable problems of concern include electrical equipment containing PCBs, mercury-containing fluorescent light fixtures, asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing materials, arsenic-containing canec, impacted soils and hazardous or potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Also available are air quality surveys. Whenever suspected air quality is in question, air sampling can be conducted for potentially hazardous material(s) so that the client may take appropriate action to address the hazard.
